INFILL VS SPRAWL

Development is a central issue for many citizens and their public servants, and most agree it deserves attention.  James agrees that it is vitally important for the city to increase density to limit the costly sprawl occurring in the outlying areas, but he does not believe policy should allow carte blanche development in mature neighbourhoods.  In the interest of being not only proactive, but sensible and respectful, James contends that communities should be given a meaningful say on how development occurs in their neighbourhoods in order to preserve the character and vibrancy of these amazing areas.
